Upon arrival, they discovered Stephanie Santacruz, a 37-year-old female resident of Victorville, suffering from a gunshot wound. Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
On May 9, 2024, at 9:58 a.m., deputies from the Victorville Station responded to multiple calls regarding a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision on Mariposa Road. Callers reported that the pedestrian, later identified as Nicholas Contreras, was hit by a second vehicle as he continued to walk around after the first collision.
