On May 9, 2024, at approximately 3:10 p.m., deputies from Victorville responded to a reported shooting at a residence located in the 16300 block of Orick Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered Stephanie Santacruz, a 37-year-old female resident of Victorville, suffering from a gunshot wound. Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives from the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail promptly arrived to take over the investigation. The suspect is currently unknown and remains at large.
