Between January 20 and January 26, 2025, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department conducted a targeted crime suppression operation named "Operation Consequences." The operation involved investigators from the Gangs/Narcotics Division and deputies from various patrol stations. They executed three search warrants in Victorville, Hesperia, and Fontana.

During this period, law enforcement officials contacted gang members and individuals prohibited from possessing firearms. As a result of their efforts, six firearms were seized, including two ghost guns. Additionally, suspected methamphetamine was confiscated. The operation led to 24 felony arrests.

The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors has allocated funds for county-wide crime suppression initiatives. These funds aim to enhance law enforcement services addressing quality-of-life issues within the community.

"Operation Consequences will focus on conducting targeted crime suppression operations in the High Desert and the Sheriff’s jurisdiction surrounding the city of San Bernardino," according to a statement from the Sheriff's Department. This initiative will involve personnel from multiple divisions and agencies, including the California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Probation, United States Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force, and Department of Homeland Security Investigations.

The operation is set to continue over several months with objectives to curb violent crime, disrupt criminal street gangs, and apprehend individuals illegally possessing or trafficking firearms.

For further information regarding Operation Consequences, contact the Public Affairs Division at (909) 387-3700.

Shannon D. Dicus serves as Sheriff-Coroner for the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department.
