On November 25, 2024, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department announced the arrest of a Chino Hills resident on charges related to child pornography. The suspect, Timothy Holub, aged 35, was apprehended following an investigation by the Specialized Investigations Division's Crimes Against Children Detail.

The inquiry began on October 19, 2023, after the Department of Children and Family Services reported inappropriate online communication between a 33-year-old male and a 16-year-old minor. Law enforcement identified Holub as the adult involved in these communications under the screen name "httechtim5." During these interactions, Holub allegedly requested lewd acts from the minor.

Holub was subsequently arrested and booked at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga. He faces charges including possession of child pornography (PC 311.11(c)(1)), distributing or showing pornography to a minor (PC 288.2(a)(2)), and contacting a minor for sexual offense (PC 288.3(a)). His bail is set at $60,000.

Detectives suspect there may be additional victims linked to this case and have released Holub's photograph to the public. Detective Michael Erwin encourages anyone with information regarding this incident to contact him at (909) 890-4904. Anonymous tips can also be submitted via the We-Tip Hotline at 1-800-78-CRIME or through their website www.wetip.com.

The investigation is being handled by Detective Michael Erwin from the Specialized Investigations Division – Crimes Against Children Detail under Case No. 602300079.
