Between July 27 and August 2, 2024, investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department – Gangs/Narcotics Division, along with deputies from patrol stations, executed six search warrants and contacted suspects at various locations in San Bernardino, Fontana, Bloomington, Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario, and Landers.
During this period, investigators engaged with gang members and individuals prohibited from possessing firearms. The operation resulted in the seizure of 18 firearms, including two ghost guns. Additionally, over two pounds of narcotics were recovered. A total of eight felony arrests were made.
The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors authorized funds for county-wide crime suppression to provide additional funding to the Sheriff’s Department. This funding aims to enhance law enforcement services related to quality-of-life issues affecting local communities.
Operation Consequences will focus on targeted crime suppression operations in the High Desert and areas under the Sheriff's jurisdiction surrounding the city of San Bernardino. The operation will involve personnel from the Sheriff’s Gangs/Narcotics Division, Specialized Enforcement Division, patrol stations, California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Probation, United States Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force, and Department of Homeland Security Investigations. The initiative will continue over several months to curb violent crime, disrupt and dismantle targeted criminal street gangs, and locate and arrest individuals involved in illegal firearm activities.
