Man Succumbs to Injuries After Being Shot in San Bernardino

A man identified as Robert Martinez, 45-years-old, has tragically succumbed to his injuries after being shot in San Bernardino. The incident occurred on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at around 2:52 p.m. Martinez was found by officers from the San Bernardino Police Department in the county area of San Bernardino, near Hillside Drive and Conejo Drive. Despite efforts to save his life, Martinez was pronounced dead shortly after being transported to the hospital.

According to the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail, Martinez was shot near a homeless encampment northeast of Hillside Drive. The suspect responsible for the shooting is still at large and has not been identified. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
