Between October 5 and October 11, 2024, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department conducted a targeted crime suppression operation known as "Operation Consequences." This initiative involved the department's Gangs/Narcotics Division investigators and patrol station deputies who served four search warrants in various locations within San Bernardino.

The operation led to the contact of gang members and individuals prohibited from possessing firearms. Authorities seized 16 firearms, including one ghost gun, recovered over eight pounds of illegal narcotics, and confiscated multiple illegal fireworks. The efforts resulted in six felony arrests.

Funding for this county-wide crime suppression effort was authorized by the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors. The objective is to provide additional resources to enhance law enforcement services related to quality-of-life issues impacting local communities.

Operation Consequences aims to focus on targeted crime suppression operations in the High Desert area and surrounding jurisdictions of San Bernardino. Personnel involved include members from several divisions such as the Sheriff's Gangs/Narcotics Division, Specialized Enforcement Division, California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Probation, United States Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force, and Department of Homeland Security Investigations. The operation is expected to continue over several months with goals to reduce violent crime, disrupt criminal street gangs, and apprehend those illegally dealing in firearms.

"Shannon D. Dicus," Sheriff-Coroner for the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department, oversees these operations. For further details or inquiries about this case (Case Nos: 662400578 through 662400581), interested parties can contact the Public Affairs Division at (909) 387-3700.
