Between June 15 and June 21, 2024, investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department – Gangs/Narcotics Division, along with deputies from patrol stations, served eight search warrants and contacted suspects at various locations in Ontario, Rialto, Hesperia, and Rancho Cucamonga.

During these operations, investigators engaged with gang members and individuals prohibited from possessing firearms. The efforts resulted in the recovery of illegal narcotics and the seizure of 12 firearms, five of which were ghost guns. Additionally, a total of 12 felony arrests were made.

The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors authorized funds for county-wide crime suppression to enhance law enforcement services related to quality-of-life issues affecting local communities.

Operation Consequences aims to conduct targeted crime suppression operations in the High Desert and areas under the Sheriff's jurisdiction surrounding the city of San Bernardino. The operation will involve personnel from multiple divisions including the Sheriff’s Gangs/Narcotics Division, Specialized Enforcement Division, patrol stations, California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Probation, United States Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force, and Department of Homeland Security Investigations. The initiative will continue over several months with a focus on curbing violent crime, disrupting criminal street gangs, and apprehending individuals involved in illegal firearm activities.
