On June 19, 2024, deputies from the Victor Valley Station responded to a call near Summit Valley Road and Foley Road in unincorporated Hesperia. Ethan Biroczky reported that his wife was injured inside a vehicle. Upon arrival, deputies found Ashlee Bogdanoff with gunshot wounds. She was transported to a trauma center in critical condition and succumbed to her injuries on June 20.
The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail took over the investigation. Their findings led to the arrest of Biroczky for PC 187 - Murder. He is currently held at the High Desert Detention Center without bail.
