On May 30, 2024, a multi-agency off-road and trespass enforcement campaign was conducted in the Lytle/Cajon Creek area, Devils Diversion Channel, and neighboring regions within both unincorporated and incorporated areas of San Bernardino. The operation also covered the Santa Ana River section running through San Bernardino, Rialto, and Colton.

The campaign aimed to address public concerns about increasing illegal off-highway vehicle (OHV) activity near flood control channels and to prevent trespassing on environmentally sensitive lands home to endangered plants and wildlife. Participating agencies included San Bernardino County Code Enforcement, San Bernardino County Sheriff Department (Central Station), Sheriff's OHV Unit, California Highway Patrol, Colton PD, San Bernardino PD, San Bernardino County Regional Parks, and Riverside County Regional Parks.

The focus of the operation was both educational and enforcement-oriented. The one-day operation resulted in one felony arrest, one OHV impounded, one citation issued, and 59 educational contacts made.
