In a recent initiative by the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department, a proactive enforcement team reached out to unhoused residents in Chino Hills, Montclair, and surrounding areas to offer them essential services. The operation, dubbed "Operation Shelter Me," aimed to provide housing, medical, and mental health treatment services to those in need.

During the operation, the team successfully linked a veteran to housing assistance, demonstrating the tangible impact of their efforts. Additionally, deputies identified two individuals who may qualify for Laura's Law services, further highlighting the comprehensive approach taken by the team.

The Sheriff-Coroner Department encourages the community to reach out if they know of individuals experiencing homelessness who require assistance. They can contact the H.O.P.E. Team at 909-387-0623 or via email at [email protected]

This operation was made possible through funding provided by Senate Bill 170, enabling the Department to continue its vital outreach efforts in the county. Sheriff-Coroner Shannon D. Dicus emphasized that such initiatives will persist over the coming years to support vulnerable populations.

For more information or to report individuals in need of assistance, please contact the H.O.P.E. Team at the provided phone number or email address.
