Victorville Murder Suspect Arrested After Shooting Victim in the Leg

A suspect has been taken into custody following a shooting incident in Victorville, California. The incident, which took place on March 22, 2024, in the 16100 block of Tawney Ridge Lane, involved a victim identified as Marshall Mitchell, who was shot in the leg. Mitchell was subsequently transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.

According to reports, Mitchell left the hospital the following day and was later taken to a residence in Rancho Cucamonga. Unfortunately, Mitchell experienced a medical emergency on March 23 at around 3:11 p.m. and was pronounced deceased after being transported to San Antonio Regional Hospital.

The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail took over the case and identified the suspect as 53-year-old Gregory Jackson. A warrant was issued for Jackson's arrest, and on March 28, 2024, he was located and apprehended by the Barstow Police Department. Jackson is currently held at the High Desert Detention Center on $1,000,000 bail.
