As part of its process for selecting new textbooks for transitional kindergarten (TK), a pre-kindergarten program, the San Bernardino City Unified School District (SBCUSD) invites all stakeholders to review the books under consideration and provide their input.

TK is an opportunity for students not old enough for kindergarten to access a quality, free education surrounded by our caring, school family that can help them:

• Build positive relationships with teachers and peers
• Become confident learners
• Develop socially and emotionally
• Build a strong foundation for school success

Children who will turn 5 years old between September 2, 2022, and February 2, 2023, are eligible to enroll now in TK. For more information about transitional kindergarten or enrolling in TK or kindergarten for the 2022–2023 school year, call Enrollment and Placement Services at (909) 889-7576.

The TK textbooks are available for review now through April 29, 2022, at the Professional Development Center (PDC), 4030 Georgia Blvd. in San Bernardino. For more information about the textbook adoption, please call Elementary Instruction at (909) 473-2090.
