Ms. Salcido teaches elementary music specializing in instrumental music-orchestra and band and at five schools: George Brown Jr. Elementary, Jones Elementary, Captain Leland F. Norton Elementary, Lincoln Elementary, and Riley College Prep Academy. Ms. Salcido has been teaching with the District for two years serving as the Elementary Honor Band Lead while being active in the Elementary Music Summer Program.
She values “being able to show students that there is more to learn in school than just the core subjects they are taught daily. Music connects all of those subjects, teaches students to build relationships with their peers, and then leads to further opportunities that students might not have ever imagined they would be able to participate in.
