A Victorville man has been arrested on charges of child sexual abuse following an investigation by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. According to authorities, Armando Felix, 50, is accused of sexually assaulting a female victim when she was approximately 13 to 14 years old between 2012 and 2013. Investigators said Felix met the victim while serving as her softball coach.
After completing their investigation, sheriff’s detectives submitted the case to the District Attorney’s Office. On August 15, felony child sexual abuse charges were filed against Felix. He was taken into custody at the Victorville Courthouse while attending court for a separate child sexual assault matter and was booked at High Desert Detention Center without bail.
Felix has coached youth softball for several years, and detectives believe there may be additional victims. The Sheriff’s Department released his photograph and encouraged anyone with information to contact Detective Wendy Winegar at (909) 890-4904.
