Suspect in Victorville homicide turns himself in and is arrested, sheriff says

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department announced on March 29 that Michael Christopher Gallardo, 18, of Fontana, has been identified and arrested as the suspect in the murder of Elias Victor Marcell Brooks, a 22-year-old resident of Victorville. Gallardo turned himself in at the Upland Police Department on April 3 and was booked into the West Valley Detention Center without bail.

This development follows an incident on March 29 when deputies from the Victorville Station responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 3:33 p.m. in the 13000 block of Starshine Drive. Upon arrival, deputies found Brooks suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital for treatment; no other injuries were reported.
