Between November 9 and November 15, 2024, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department conducted a targeted crime suppression operation named "Operation Consequences." This initiative involved investigators from the department's Gangs/Narcotics Division, along with deputies from various patrol stations. The operation focused on multiple locations across Apple Valley, Hesperia, San Bernardino, Rialto, Morongo Valley, and Yucca Valley.

During this week-long effort, law enforcement personnel served eight search warrants and engaged with individuals suspected of gang affiliations or those prohibited from possessing firearms. The operation resulted in the seizure of 15 firearms, including two ghost guns. Additionally, five felony arrests were made.

The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors has provided funding for county-wide crime suppression efforts. This funding aims to enhance law enforcement services addressing quality-of-life issues impacting local communities.

"Operation Consequences will focus on conducting targeted crime suppression operations in the High Desert and the Sheriff’s jurisdiction surrounding the city of San Bernardino," stated a spokesperson for the department. This operation will involve collaboration among various agencies including the California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Probation, United States Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force, and Department of Homeland Security Investigations.

The ongoing mission of Operation Consequences is to reduce violent crime by disrupting criminal street gangs and apprehending individuals illegally involved with firearms manufacturing and trafficking.

For further information regarding this operation or related cases (Case Nos. 662400614 through 662400619), interested parties are encouraged to contact the Public Affairs Division at (909) 387-3700.

Shannon D. Dicus serves as Sheriff-Coroner for the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department.
