Between October 19 and October 25, 2024, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department conducted a series of operations under "Operation Consequences." The initiative involved investigators from the Gangs/Narcotics Division and deputies from patrol stations who executed eight search warrants across various locations in San Bernardino.

The operation targeted gang members and individuals prohibited from possessing firearms. Over the week-long period, authorities seized ten firearms and recovered 472 marijuana plants. Additionally, three felony arrests were made.

The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors has allocated funds for county-wide crime suppression to enhance law enforcement services related to quality-of-life issues within the community. Operation Consequences aims to conduct targeted crime suppression efforts in the High Desert area and other jurisdictions surrounding San Bernardino.

The operation will involve personnel from multiple divisions including the Sheriff's Gangs/Narcotics Division, Specialized Enforcement Division, patrol stations, California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Probation, United States Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force, and Department of Homeland Security Investigations. The goal is to reduce violent crime by disrupting criminal street gangs and apprehending those illegally involved with firearms over several months.
