Between September 28 and October 4, 2024, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department undertook a targeted crime suppression operation known as "Operation Consequences." The initiative involved investigators from the Gangs/Narcotics Division and deputies from patrol stations. They executed two search warrants and engaged with suspects at locations in Loma Linda and Los Angeles.

During this period, law enforcement officers made contact with gang members and individuals prohibited from possessing firearms. Their efforts resulted in the seizure of three firearms and illegal narcotics. Additionally, four felony arrests were made.

The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors has allocated funds for county-wide crime suppression to enhance law enforcement services addressing quality-of-life issues within local communities. Operation Consequences is part of these efforts, focusing on reducing violent crime, disrupting criminal street gangs, and apprehending those illegally involved with firearms.

This operation will extend over several months across the High Desert region and areas under the Sheriff's jurisdiction near San Bernardino. It involves collaboration between multiple agencies including the Sheriff’s Gangs/Narcotics Division, Specialized Enforcement Division, California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Probation, United States Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force, and Department of Homeland Security Investigations.
