The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Coroner Division has confirmed the identity of a deceased female found in Yucaipa on Sunday as 43-year-old Amy Porter, a resident of Lake Elsinore. The cause of death is still pending an autopsy, and further details will be released when available.

On September 22, 2024, at approximately 9:12 a.m., deputies from the Yucaipa Sheriff’s Station responded to a medical aid call in a desert area near I-10 and Wildwood Canyon Road. The family of Porter, who had been reported missing from Riverside County, discovered her body while conducting their own search. Deputies were unaware of the family's search efforts before receiving the call and arrived promptly at the scene. Porter was pronounced dead upon their arrival.

Investigators from the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division initiated an investigation at the scene. While positive identification has been made, the manner of Porter's death remains undetermined pending autopsy results.

Detective Daniel Berumen is leading the investigation. Anyone with information related to this case is encouraged to contact Detective Berumen at (909) 890-4904. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through We-Tip at 800-78CRIME or www.wetip.com.
