On September 22, 2024, at approximately 9:12 a.m., deputies from the Yucaipa Sheriff’s Station responded to a medical aid call in a desert area near I-10 and Wildwood Canyon Road. The family of a female reported missing from Riverside County was conducting a search when they discovered a deceased female. Deputies were not aware of the search prior to receiving the call and responded promptly. The female was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigators with the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division arrived at the scene and began an investigation. Positive identification of the deceased and the manner of death have not been determined yet. An autopsy will be conducted, and additional information will be released when available.
