On Sunday, August 18, 2024, at approximately 7:24 a.m., deputies from the Big Bear Station responded to Bear Creek Resort in the 40200 block of Big Bear Boulevard, Big Bear Lake. They located a Hispanic male adult with injuries consistent with a homicide. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Detectives from the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division, Homicide Detail, have taken over the investigation. The identification of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
