Law enforcement authorities in San Bernardino County have conducted a successful targeted crime suppression operation named Operation Consequences from April 27, 2024, through May 3, 2024. The operation resulted in significant arrests and seizures in various locations within the county.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, during the operation, investigators served nine search warrants and made contact with suspects in Upland, San Bernardino, Pinon Hills, and Bloomington. Shannon D. Dicus from the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department stated, "During those contacts, investigators contacted gang members and persons prohibited from possessing firearms."

As a result of the operation, law enforcement officials were able to recover nearly one pound of illegal narcotics and seize nine firearms, three of which were ghost guns. Seven felony arrests were made during the operation, indicating a successful effort in combating crime in the region.

The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors has allocated funds for county-wide crime suppression, with the aim of enhancing law enforcement services to address quality-of-life issues affecting communities in the county. The operation will continue in the coming months, focusing on the High Desert and areas surrounding San Bernardino, with the collaboration of various law enforcement agencies.

Operation Consequences aims to tackle violent crime, dismantle criminal street gangs, and apprehend individuals involved in illegal possession, manufacturing, and trafficking of firearms. The operation involves personnel from multiple divisions, including the Sheriff’s Gangs/Narcotics Division, Specialized Enforcement Division, patrol stations, California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Probation, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, and Department of Homeland Security Investigations.

The efforts put forth by law enforcement agencies during Operation Consequences demonstrate a commitment to ensuring the safety and security of communities in San Bernardino County.
