Teacher Arrested After Extensive Investigation; Additional Victim's Encouraged to Contact Investigators

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department announced on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, the arrest of Brett David Dahl, a 43-year-old teacher from Victorville, for a series of serious charges related to minors. The arrest came after an investigation by the Specialized Investigations Division - Crimes Against Children Detail into allegations of inappropriate conduct with a minor at Excelsior Charter Schools.

According to the statement released, Dahl was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto for violation of contacting a minor to commit a felony, meeting with a minor for lewd purposes, child endangerment, and child abduction, with bail set at $60,000.

In light of the arrest, detectives suspect the possibility of additional victims and have taken the step of releasing Dahl’s booking photograph. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department has urged anyone with information on the case to come forward.
