Deputies in Yucaipa responded to a report of a missing child on the evening of August 14, 2025. The incident occurred at a retail business on the 34500 block of Yucaipa Boulevard. Rebecca Haro told authorities she was outside her vehicle changing her 7-month-old son Emmanuel Haro’s diaper when an unknown man assaulted her and knocked her unconscious. When she regained consciousness, her infant son was missing.

Law enforcement from both San Bernardino and Riverside Counties, including K9 units, conducted an extensive search for Emmanuel but did not locate him. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division joined the investigation and interviewed several people, including Emmanuel’s parents, Jake and Rebecca Haro.

During questioning, investigators found inconsistencies in Rebecca Haro’s initial statement. She then declined to continue with the interview. Authorities stated they are unable to rule out foul play in Emmanuel’s disappearance.

The investigation remains ongoing as officials work to find Emmanuel Haro. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Specialized Investigations Division at 909-890-4904 or provide anonymous tips through We-Tip at 1-800-78-CRIME (27463) or wetip.com.

“At this point in the investigation, investigators are unable to rule out foul play in the disappearance of Emmanuel.”

Investigators will continue their efforts until more information becomes available.
