Between February 24 and March 2, 2025, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department conducted “Operation Consequences,” a targeted crime suppression initiative. Investigators from the department’s Gangs/Narcotics Division, alongside deputies from various patrol stations, executed two search warrants across multiple locations including San Bernardino, Upland, Yucaipa, Victorville, and Apple Valley.
During this operation, law enforcement officials engaged with gang members and individuals prohibited from owning firearms. The operation resulted in the seizure of 14 firearms, five of which were ghost guns. Additionally, illegal narcotics were discovered and confiscated. Over the course of the week-long operation, authorities made a total of 31 arrests—15 on felony charges and 16 for misdemeanors.
The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors has allocated funds to enhance county-wide crime suppression efforts. This funding aims to bolster law enforcement services addressing quality-of-life issues within local communities.
“Operation Consequences” will continue over several months with a focus on reducing violent crime in the High Desert and surrounding areas under the Sheriff’s jurisdiction. The initiative involves personnel from various divisions including the Sheriff’s Gangs/Narcotics Division and Specialized Enforcement Division as well as agencies like the California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Probation, United States Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force, and Department of Homeland Security Investigations. The goal is to dismantle criminal street gangs and apprehend individuals involved in illegal firearm activities.
