Between April 21 and April 27, 2025, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, in collaboration with local officers and federal agencies, executed a series of search warrants in communities across Apple Valley, Loma Linda, Ontario, and Moreno Valley. This initiative, part of an operation named “Operation Consequences,” aims to address crime in targeted areas.
During the operation, teams contacted known gang members and individuals prohibited from owning firearms. Law enforcement seized 20 firearms, including seven ghost guns — weapons that are difficult to trace. Additionally, substances identified as methamphetamine and cocaine were confiscated. The operation resulted in eight felony and two misdemeanor arrests.
The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors has approved funding to enhance crime suppression activities across the county, targeting quality-of-life issues in the community. The effort will extend to the High Desert and the area around San Bernardino city, involving various divisions, including the Sheriff’s Gangs/Narcotics Division, Specialized Enforcement Division, and the California Highway Patrol, among others.
“Operation Consequences” is set to continue for several months. The objective is to reduce violent crime, disrupt criminal street gangs, and apprehend those who illegally possess or distribute firearms.
