Investigators are continuing their efforts to find 7-month-old Emmanuel Haro, who was reported missing from Yucaipa, California. The case began on August 14, 2025, when deputies responded to a call at a retail business on Yucaipa Boulevard. Rebecca Haro told authorities she was assaulted by an unknown man while changing her child’s diaper outside her vehicle and lost consciousness. When she regained awareness, her infant son Emmanuel was missing.
San Bernardino and Riverside County deputies, along with K9 units, conducted extensive searches in the area but did not locate the child. The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division became involved and has since interviewed multiple people, including Emmanuel’s parents, Jake and Rebecca Haro. During interviews, investigators noted inconsistencies in Rebecca Haro’s initial statement; she then declined to continue speaking with detectives.
Authorities have served several search warrants at the Haro home in Cabazon and reviewed surveillance video from relevant locations. K9s have also been used during searches in both Yucaipa and Cabazon as part of ongoing efforts to gather evidence related to Emmanuel’s disappearance.
Sheriff Shannon D. Dicus stated: “We know the community is deeply concerned about this case and we will continue to provide information, to the extent it does not jeopardize the investigation. Our investigators have followed up on the reported sightings of 7-month-old Emmanuel Haro, but he has not yet been located.”
Dicus added: “While Emmanuel’s father has retained an attorney, if the parents choose to work with detectives, we welcome their cooperation as we continue efforts to locate Emmanuel.”
Investigators are also aware of a fire that occurred at a neighbor’s property near the Haro residence in Cabazon. According to authorities: “At this time, we have no information indicating the fire is related, and we will continue to communicate with fire investigators as their investigation progresses.”
“Emmanuel continues to be the main focus of this investigation, and we will continue our efforts to locate him,” Dicus said.
The Sheriff’s Department urges anyone with information about this incident or Emmanuel’s whereabouts to contact its Specialized Investigations Division or submit tips anonymously through We-Tip.
