On March 4, 2025, a residential robbery in Grand Terrace, California, led to a fatal shooting. Around 9:18 p.m., deputies responded to a home on the 23000 block of Grand Terrace Road after the homeowner reported that three suspects had broken into his residence. The homeowner armed himself and fired at the intruders in self-defense. The suspects fled in a white sedan.

Shortly thereafter, Loma Linda deputies were called to a gas station on Redlands Boulevard where they found an adult male with gunshot wounds and a 15-year-old juvenile. The adult was taken to the hospital but later died from his injuries. Investigations revealed both individuals were involved in the robbery.

Later that evening, Marquez Jackson, aged 25 and also linked to the incident, sought treatment for gunshot wounds at another hospital. He underwent surgery and remains hospitalized. Authorities plan to charge him with robbery and murder upon his release.

The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail has taken over the investigation. The juvenile suspect was arrested for robbery and murder and is being held at Juvenile Hall. A fourth suspect is still at large.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about this case to contact the Homicide Detail at 909-890-4904 or provide anonymous tips through We-Tip at 1-800-78-CRIME (27463) or wetip.com.
