Rep. Pete Aguilar, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing California’s 33rd district, has shared his views on various issues through recent social media posts. These posts cover topics from cultural celebrations to legislative critiques.
On May 6, 2025, Aguilar acknowledged Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month by emphasizing the importance of celebrating and recognizing “the rich culture, history and contributions of the AANHPI community in California and throughout the United States.” The tweet can be viewed here.
Later that day, Aguilar criticized a budget proposal by Republicans in Congress. On May 8, 2025, Aguilar expressed opposition to a bill proposed by Marjorie Taylor Greene aimed at renaming the Gulf of Mexico.
