Rep. Pete Aguilar, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 33rd district since 2015, posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing health care policy, labor rights, and the impact of foreign conflict on domestic economic conditions.
On March 30, 2026, Aguilar criticized former President Donald Trump and congressional Republicans for their approach to health care and military spending: “After ripping away health care from millions of Americans with their Big Ugly Law, Trump and Republicans want to cut your health care EVEN MORE to pay for Trump’s reckless and costly war in Iran. What happened to putting ‘America First’?”
The following day, March 31, Aguilar paid tribute to those involved in the Latino civil rights movement and farmworkers across the nation: “Today, we honor the workers and organizers who fought for the Latino civil rights movement and the millions of farmworkers in California and nationwide who keep our communities fed. I will always stand up for better working conditions and the fair treatment of our farmworkers.”
Later that same day, he commented on rising gas prices amid ongoing international conflict: “You’re now paying an average of $4 a gallon at the gas pump thanks to Trump’s costly war with Iran. Donald Trump has done nothing but make life more expensive for working Americans.”
Aguilar was born in Fontana, California in 1979 and currently resides in Redlands. He graduated from the University of Redlands with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2001.
