Rep. Pete Aguilar, who represents California’s 33rd district in the U.S. Congress, announced on September 4, 2025, that his amendment to allow Dreamers to work in the federal government passed through committee with bipartisan support.
In a post made at 13:36 UTC, Aguilar stated: “NEWS: My amendment to allow Dreamers to work in the federal government just passed through committee with bipartisan support! I’m proud to have led this effort because Dreamers love our country and want to make it a better place through public service.” The announcement highlights his ongoing legislative focus and leadership role on immigration issues.
Later that day, at 15:42 UTC, Aguilar addressed efforts related to the release of files concerning Jeffrey Epstein. He wrote: “I signed the discharge petition to force a vote and release the Epstein files. Donald Trump and House Republicans cannot keep covering for Jeffrey Epstein and his associates. The American people deserve the truth and the survivors of Epstein deserve justice.”
Aguilar also shared about engaging with first responders in his district. In a tweet posted at 20:14 UTC, he said: “Last week, I joined local firefighters at the Rancho Cucamonga Fire District Training Center to learn more about the work they do every day and how they put their lives on the line to keep our communities safe. I’ll keep fighting in Congress to support our first responders.”
Pete Aguilar has served as a member of Congress since 2015 after replacing Gary Miller. He was born in Fontana, California in 1979 and currently resides in Redlands. Aguilar graduated from the University of Redlands in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
