Rep. Pete Aguilar, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 33rd district since 2015, recently addressed constituents and broader audiences through a series of posts on social media. His messages ranged from holiday greetings to commentary on national policy debates and local educational initiatives.
On September 22, 2025, Aguilar extended Rosh Hashanah wishes to his community, stating: “Shanah Tovah! Wishing everyone in the Inland Empire and throughout the world a sweet and prosperous Rosh Hashanah.”
The following day, he criticized Republican policies regarding taxation and health care. On September 23, he wrote: “While the cost of everyday goods continues to skyrocket, Donald Trump and Republicans are focused on giving billionaires massive tax breaks and throwing Americans off of their health care.
Democrats will keep fighting back against these reckless Republican policies and continue”
Later that same day, Aguilar highlighted his visit to San Bernardino Valley College and federal support for workforce development programs. He posted: “It was great to stop by San Bernardino Valley College! I got to see firsthand how the $1.5 million in federal funding I secured for their Clean Energy Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Technician Program is setting up students for good-paying jobs of the future.”
Aguilar has represented California’s 33rd district since succeeding Gary Miller in 2015. Born in Fontana in 1979, he resides in Redlands and is an alumnus of the University of Redlands, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 2001.
