Rep. Pete Aguilar, who represents California’s 33rd district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of messages on social media addressing local celebrations, transportation funding, and concerns over rising gas prices.
On April 5, 2026, Aguilar extended holiday greetings to his constituents and others across the country: “Happy Easter to all those celebrating in the Inland Empire and around the country! May today be filled with joy, renewal and time spent with loved ones.”
The following day, April 6, he highlighted a federal investment aimed at improving public transit in his district: “As the Inland Empire grows, it’s crucial that our public transportation system can get people where they need to go quickly, efficiently and cleanly. I’m proud to deliver $1 million for @Omnitrans to expand its zero-emission bus infrastructure and improve our air quality.”
On April 7, Aguilar commented on fuel costs in California and linked them to ongoing conflict in the Middle East: “California drivers are paying the price for Trump’s war in Iran every time they fill up their tanks. Working Americans can’t afford this costly conflict. Trump needs to end his war in the Middle East and focus on bringing down costs for people here at home.”
Aguilar has served as a member of Congress since 2015 after replacing Gary Miller. He was born in Fontana, California in 1979 and currently resides in Redlands. Aguilar is an alumnus of the University of Redlands, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2001.
