U.S. Representative Pete Aguilar, who serves California’s 33rd district, recently highlighted his ongoing engagement with constituents through a series of social media posts discussing local events and health care issues.
On September 24, 2025, Aguilar shared his participation in an event for young people considering military service academies. He wrote, “It was great to meet with local high school students for my office’s annual Service Academy Night. I am proud of these hardworking young people who are eager to take the next step toward a rewarding career in service to the United States.”
Later that day, Aguilar described a discussion he held with health care workers in his district. On September 24, 2025, he posted: “I held a roundtable with @SEIU2015 members who provide in-home health care to seniors and people with disabilities here in the Inland Empire, where I heard from them about how cuts to Medi-Cal made by Trump’s Big Ugly Law could negatively impact them and the people they care for.”
Addressing concerns about rising costs faced by older adults, Aguilar posted on September 25, 2025: “Too many seniors in our community are facing increasing health care costs that are making it harder to afford basic necessities and work towards retirement. I met with the Golden Age Club in San Bernardino to talk about how Trump and Republicans’ policies are driving up health”
Aguilar has represented California’s 33rd District since 2015 after succeeding Gary Miller. Born in Fontana in 1979 and currently residing in Redlands, Aguilar is an alumnus of the University of Redlands (BS, 2001). His recent statements reflect ongoing efforts to address constituent concerns related to education opportunities and challenges posed by federal policy changes impacting local residents.
