Between June 23 and June 27, 2025, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department led Operation Disrupt the Demand. This initiative aimed to rescue victims of sexual slavery, identify and arrest their captors, and reduce demand by targeting customers involved in these activities. The operation was managed by Human Trafficking Investigators from the Sheriff’s Department’s Gangs/Narcotics Division, working with the San Bernardino Police Department, California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Probation Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigations, and local victim advocacy partners.
During this period, authorities arrested 28 individuals for solicitation of prostitution. One person was arrested for solicitation involving a minor, while three others faced charges related to pimping or pandering. Additionally, investigators rescued three victims of human trafficking who were provided necessary services and resources.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is committed to disrupting sex trafficking rings within the county. They aim to aggressively identify and apprehend those exploiting vulnerable individuals. Through proactive enforcement operations, Human Trafficking Investigators work diligently to reduce future demand by identifying and arresting buyers while rescuing those forced into sexual servitude.
