Murder investigation ongoing after fatal stabbing in Fontana

On June 13, 2025, deputies responded to a report of an assault in the 9000 block of Hemlock Avenue, Fontana. Upon arrival, they found Antonio Fonseca, a 36-year-old resident of Fontana, lying in the street near a residence. Fonseca had been stabbed and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail took over the investigation after deputies contacted several witnesses for questioning. As of now, no suspect has been identified and the investigation continues.

Detective T. Kleveno from the Homicide Detail is handling the case. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Homicide Detail at 909-890-4904. Anonymous tips can be provided via We-Tip at 1-800-78-CRIME (27463) or wetip.com.
