At 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, the Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes, featuring former Citrus Valley High School standout Ivan Rodriguez, were defeated 14-6 by the Cal Poly Pomona Broncos in an NCAA Division II baseball contest.
The matchup was held at Fiscalini Field. This marked the teams’ second meeting of the season; in the earlier contest on Friday, March 6, the Coyotes fell to the Broncos 8-6.
Rodriguez gave up three earned runs across four innings and tallied two walks along with six strikeouts.
The Coyotes are set to face Cal Poly Pomona Broncos again on Saturday, March 7, at 3 p.m. at Fiscalini Field.
