Girlfriend arrested after fatal stabbing in Lucerne

On January 27, 2026, deputies from the Victor Valley station responded to a report of a stabbing in the 40000 block of East End Road in Lucerne. Upon arrival at approximately 9:26 p.m., they found Brandon Daoutis, a 38-year-old resident of Lucerne, with a sharp force injury. Deputies provided medical assistance until county fire personnel arrived. Daoutis was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail took over the investigation. Detectives identified Jeanette Rocha, 39 and also from Lucerne, as the suspect and girlfriend of the victim. Rocha was arrested on suspicion of murder under PC 187 and transported to the High Desert Detention Center.
