The City of Fontana Community Services Department has announced its upcoming summer hiring timeline, with applications for part-time seasonal positions opening on December 18, 2025. The initiative aims to attract applicants interested in contributing to community programs during the summer months.

The available roles will offer flexible schedules and competitive pay. Applicants who submit their materials early will have the opportunity to secure an interview at the department’s March 2026 Hiring Event. This event will allow candidates to meet department leaders and learn about different job opportunities within the city’s community services programs.

To assist first-time job seekers and those unfamiliar with the city’s hiring process, a Job Application Workshop will be held on February 7, 2026. The workshop will take place at the Fontana Community Senior Center from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Registration is not required, as it is a walk-in event. Attendees will receive guidance on creating an account, updating their profiles, completing job applications successfully, and understanding what city recruiters look for in potential candidates.

Key dates include:
– Applications open: December 18, 2025
– Job Application Workshop: February 7, 2026
– Hiring Event: March 2026

Seasonal employment typically runs from mid-April through September 30, though start and end dates may vary based on schedules and processing times.

Positions being interviewed at the Hiring Event include Community Services Assistant (for individuals over age 15½ who can obtain a work permit if necessary) and Senior Community Services Assistant (requiring at least two years of relevant experience).
