On February 2, 2026, authorities arrested Abel Ramirez, 27, and a 16-year-old male juvenile in connection with the death of Jeremy Rosales, a 14-year-old resident of Victorville. Both suspects are residents of Victorville. The arrests follow an investigation into the fatal shooting that occurred on January 16, 2026.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, “The male juvenile was arrested on the charge of PC187(A) – murder and was transported to the High Desert Juvenile Detention Center. Ramirez was arrested on the charge of PC187(A)- murder, and transported to the High Desert Detention Center where he remains in custody in lieu of $1,000,000.00 bail.”
On January 16 at approximately 8:21 p.m., sheriff’s dispatch received multiple calls reporting gunshots near Glen Canyon Lane and Burwood Avenue in Victorville. Deputies found Jeremy Rosales suffering from gunshot wounds; he was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail is leading the ongoing investigation. “This investigation is ongoing at this time. Additional information will be released when it becomes available,” according to officials.
